Topic: green-yellow brass plating

Hi

Can someone please help me to obtain Green-yellow brass finish instead of yellow green brass finish. I need the ratio of green touch to more instead of yellow touch on my item. I need to do in MS sheet items.

I got the sample from my buyer which is manufactured in china .

I will be very much thankful for your suggestions.

thanks

Re: green-yellow brass plating

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. The more copper in the part, the redder the color of the metal will be. Conversely, the more zinc, the more yellow the part. But in order to get a green finish, the copper must by oxidized under certain conditions. I would suggest that you try a higher-copper alloy to get more green in your finish.

Re: green-yellow brass plating

Thanks Dustin. as I have sen that the finish is not coming in that way as i need in green. Do you have idea of coloring on nickle finish. I have come to know that there is coloring process on nickel finish like blue, green, yellow through chemical water treatment or might be through chemical additions in nickel bath tank. But I am sure that it was not elctrophoratic lacquer.
