PCB Thru Hole [Printed Circuit Boards] Conductive Holes

Does anyone have information relating to PCB Thru Hole plating. I am looking for home made prototype recipe. The method is Electroless. Nickel/Copper plating is usually used these days. I am living where there is no ready made formulation is available and all raw materials are available. I can mix them as desired and am looking for proper guidance to work out. There may be a way out other than the properietary chemicals and any plating over plastics will easy our job and will make conductive Holes.
