Topic: Electroless nickel with hexagonal boron nitride & PTFE

Hi guys, complete newcomer here with a very basic understanding of elecroless plating. Very basic as in I utilize the service from vendors but have zero hands on experience with the process. I do however have hands on/real life experience with the performance and results of these finishes.

I'm trying to introduce a new type of coating to my industry. One that's new and improves upon or uses beneficial attributes of multiple existing processes already being used.

The two main coatings that myself and others throughout my industry are using are Electroless Nickel Boron Nitride and Electroless Nickel PTFE. Both have their pros and cons and I'd like to take what I can from each of the two and combine them into one plating process.

Here are my questions:

1) Is it possible to combine Hexagonal Boron Nitride and PTFE within the same electroless nickel bath and would there be adhesion issues?

2) can electroless Nickel PTFE be plated over Nickel Boron Nitride without adhesion issues?

3) Does coefficient of friction increase or decrease when you increase the Boron content/% to an electroless nickel bath?

4) Is there an element that can be added to an electroless Nickel PTFE bath to increase the as plated rockwell?

5) Is there a difference between elecroless Nickel Boron Nitride and electroless Nickel Boron?
