Topic: trivalent black chromate on acid zinc
hi all,i know it is possible to use black chromate over acid zinc,but does anyone have the idea of how it is done or does anyone knows of any link or web to lets me have a clearer picture of it.
reason is because i have having high demand in acid zinc instead of alkaline zinc but i does not wants to loss my alkaline client so i am thinking to convert my alkaline line to acid line but still produce black zinc
pls help.

The process is the same for the trivalent black. I've used A Brite's trivalent black (BrightGuard Pitchblack TC) over acid zinc with good results. The use of a post-dip sealant is required. I also had much better success when I used their pre-dip between the zinc plate and chromate baths.
