Topic: Greenish antique brass
Hi,
I am looking for the procedure to get GREENISH look in antique brass finish. We need to do electroplating on CRC pipes. Once we electroplate our pipes with brass and antique it. Generally we get yellowish finish after antiquing. Please be advice how can we get greenish finish instead of yellowish finish after antique.
Or is there any procedure in which greenish finish comes during electroplating instead of yellowish color before antiquing.
We will be thankful for your reply.
thanks,
Puneet

Re: Greenish antique brass
The green is from the copper oxidizing. You can try to plate a high-copper brass alloy to help give you the color you want. Also, I recall that there is a chemical that I used to use to give me the verdi gris finish. But I don't remember the name.
