Re: New Polishing Equipment Installed to Serve Customers Needs

TRENTON, NJ, January 15, 2006 – To serve a broader range of customers’ needs, Surface Technology, Inc. has installed new vibratory polishing equipment.  This capacity expands the range of surface finishes available on the Company's proprietary coatings.

When required, any of Surface Technology, Inc.’s coatings can be polished to provide an ultra smooth surface finish.  Coatings that can be enhanced by this process include all varieties of electroless nickel and composite electroless nickel with fine particulate matter such as diamond (Composite Diamond Coating), silicon carbide (NiPlate 700), PTFE (NiSlip 500), boron nitride (NiSlip 25), and others.  While the as-coated surfaces of these coatings satisfy the majority of applications on which these coatings are used, there are some situations in which a polished surface improves the performance of the coating, or eliminates an initial break-in period of use.

Surface Technology, Inc. is a unique provider of electroless plating technology, as STI is both a plating shop as well as a supplier of chemical solutions to other shops and licensees.  The synergy of these two facets of STI’s activities yields unsurpassed experience, quality, economy, and development capabilities.
