Re: Potassium Pyrophosphate tagged with Chelating Ability Index has been produced in Chin

Potassium Pyrophosphate tagged with Chelating Ability Index has been developed and finished trial production from Dec.2007 and produced from Jan. 2008 in China after by the united group of American ChemTech Inc and Zhejiang Wuwangnong Biochemical Science and Technology Co. Ltd.

Potassium Pyrophosphate (K4P2O7) has a Molecular Weight of 330.34. pH value of 1% water solution is 10.5. Because of the specific chemical bond and structure, it has extraordinary chelating ability with some metallic cationic, such as Cu2+, Sn2+, Ag+, Zn2+, Ni2+, Cr3+, Ca2+, Mg2+, etc.

However, the quality of Potassium Pyrophosphate depends on conditions such as devices, technology and other parameters. As we know, the chelating ability of Potassium Pyrophosphate decides whether it can be used in non-Cyanide plating, surface treatment and washing fields. The current standards of FCCV, UK FMAR and EC DIRECTIVE2002 have no definition of Chelating Ability Index. So they cannot tell us whether Potassium Pyrophosphate has good chelating ability or not precisely.

The united research group of American ChemTech Inc and Zhejiang Wuwangnong Biochemical Science and Technology Co has proposed the Chelating Ability Index, known as CAI, for Potassium Pyrophosphate for the first time, through years of research. And the ACTI2156-2002 standard was made from FCCV、UK MFAR(amended 1999)、EC Directive2002. The CAI of Potassium Pyrophosphate has been accepted by relative field quickly.

Now Potassium Pyrophosphate which meet the ACTI2156-2002 standard has been produced in China.
