Does humidity affects it? Re: Polish MarksCan you be more specific? Are these swirls from the polishing process? Or some sort of haze under the paint that is showing through? Please provide more info. -Dustin Gebhardt, CEF Advanced Manufacturing/Finishing Engineer Moen Sanford, NC Re: Polish MarksSir Dustin, this is our process: preparation -> painting -> baking of parts in an oven -> spot sanding using trisac (2000 grit) -> paint curing for at least 5 hours -> polishing -> quality inspection -> delivery. but it was being observed that polish marks as well as sanding marks manisfest after we export our products in our customer (Thailand plant); though during our process, the parts passed through a 300% inspection --- 100% before delivery, 100% at dock and 100% at port. So we are now having our researches why poor polish and sanding marks occur in our customer side? Does humidity affect it since shipping of parts going to Thailand is around 8 days? Is it the oven temperature? Is it the paint we are using? hope you will help me with this... thank you very much.
